Suzanne Kirsch is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1999 from Seattle Pacific University. She maintains a private practice in Gig Harbor and works with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of special interest are trauma and transformation, healing emotional wounds, couples counseling and living positively with illness. Suzanne was certified through EAGALA in 2006. She was drawn to the Equine Therapy model because of its experiential “in the moment” component, its use of the intuitive nature of horses, and her desire to provide clients enhanced opportunities for self awareness and reflection. She is passionate about photography and when appropriate, she uses the eloquence of the camera lens in the arena as a means of capturing and preserving the beauty and essence of a moment. Emrey Hombach is a student at Tacoma Community College, where she is studying psychology. Emrey has been riding horses for the last 15 years, and has competed locally and nationally through the Paint and Pinto circuits throughout the country. She has won several world titles and multiple championships locally. She enjoys not only competing but also working with children. Horses and children have always been a passion of hers, so the ability to work with them both in a process of healing and greater understanding of how the interactions between people and horses often mirrors our lives, is an amazing gift. Emrey became involved in Equine Therapy work in 2010 and was certified in the EAGALA model in 2011. She now partners in the arena with Dee Clark in the valuable role of the Equine Specialist.
Neil Sampson is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, under the supervision of Dee Clark, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Neil owns a therapeutic private practice in downtown Gig Harbor. Neil deeply believes in the success of the therapeutic process and the ability to establish a therapeutic relationship that can yield positive psychological and personal growth. Recently, Neil has received training in equine facilitated psychotherapy; a modality of therapy which involves horses and clients interacting together during the therapeutic process. Neil finds Equine Therapy work to be amazing as he sees that horses have the ability to reveal to us our most inner most thoughts, in a pure and innocent manner. Neil’s current therapy practice focuses on youth and their families, but he also enjoys working with with couples and individuals who desire to learn more about themselves and their relationships.
